I've been an adsense advertiser for many websites in the past but haven't really had a site long enough to see long t erm advantages. I think with like 5 sites I was about to get like 3 checks from Google in about a 6 or 7 month span... That's not really much considering it was I think 5 websites that I had up...

I wanted to see how everyone else does? I'm fairly good at SEO so my sites were always first through third page in google... I think I just need to make adsense specific sites mainly for the purpose of adsense... It's just the sites I make are usually hobby sites for the purpose of being able to produce lots of content for the SEO, plus I love writing about things that I'm interested in...

Anyone have any adsense specific sites? How's that going? Any tips?

One thing I recommend is to minimize click exchanges. Occasionally, you might be inclined to click your own ads on some other computer, which might seem safe, but usually isn't. The only advice though is patience, and maximize your hits, which will maximize your page impressions, which maximize the amount of money per click.

These days you really have to be patient and careful with google.  Just keep at it.  You said you are good with SEO, then just keep plugging away and I'm sure things will go my way.  I'm actually lazy and not that insightful when it comes to SEO so maybe you can post some tips.

To be honest with you. I don't really have any tips that you won't find on the net. I don't know if it's luck or what, but all I can really say is content is what does it for me. Whenever I get a site up and running, I make sure to put in a forum and a topsites. The topsites help a lot with site specific linking. I also start with at least 20-30 pages of articles to add content.  Keywords are the most important in my opinion. I research thoroughly the most active keywords for a specific site I'm doing and make sure I insert those in content A LOT. (Not too much though as that can be bad with some engines) I also make sure to insert meta tags in the head... Hmm... what else....  Oh, and every site I've had, I made sure to spend a good week emailing other sites to get a good amount of inbound links... It also helped that a few of my sites were already ranked high in google (PR wise and page wise). I used those to link to my new sites which ranked the new sites real quick and high. I shut down all my sites last year and am on my one and only site now so I can't do that any more... Gotta start from the bottom again.

You have three sites in your signature though, are they all new sites?

Just keep at it and get more hits and your see the benefits soon.

Also check to see who clicks on the ads. If someone (like a former admin of mine ) clicks like mad, that's a sign of warning.

Link units. Unbelievable I have three sections dedicated to ads on my site and just one with link units. I get about half of my clicks from the link units. It really is amazing. The thing is google shows you the link clicks and breaks it down to ads clicked from the link clicks. Some days i have 45 link clicks and only 7 or 8 ad clicks but it can ad up, i am looking for a way to incorporate another set of link units in my site. I think you are allowed 3 ads and 2 link units per page.

What I would recommend is that once you've got enough money, move to vBulletin. vBulletin 4 is coming out soon w/ SEO options and vBSEO helps out by customizing your URLs, therefore google will index your sites faster then normal

Once you've done that, place adsense near texts and blend it in, while people read through, they will see the ads and have a better chance in clicks
